Keeping pace with
the tough competition, GMC lends yet another sturdy line up
of pick up trucks to its credentials. With three two-door
models available, Sonoma SLS Regular Cab, Sonoma SLS Extended
Cab, and Sonoma SLS 4WD Extended Cab, those with practical
needs have some solid vehicles to choose from.
The GMC Sonoma
SLS Regular Cab starts the line up with a seating capacity
of three passengers. It features a four-cylinder engine with
center of vee camshaft and checks in with 120 horsepower.
Standard transmission is five-speed manual, with automatic
transmission available as an option. Drive type is two-wheel
rear, motoring along on all-season SBR tires.
Safety features
range from ABS brakes to a driver depowered air bag, passenger
depowered air bag, and front head restraint. Front fog lights
are optional, but a good choice if you live in areas where
fog tends to roll in. For those with children and travelers
of shorter stature, the passenger air bag cut-off capability
is a standard feature.
Luxuries include

GMC line up is the Sonoma SLS 4WD Extended Cab, also with
room for four passengers and an extended cab. The engine has
been beefed up to a six-cylinder, with center of vee camshaft
and 190 horsepower for higher driving expectations. Acceleration
definitely improves with the engine upgrade. Transmission
is also five-speed manual, with optional automatic available.
The GMC Sonoma
SLS 4WD leaps up to another level with the inclusion of four-wheel
on-demand drive for tougher job demands. Again, all other
safety and luxury features are identical to the previous models.
