2001 Land Rover Range Rover:
Along with its close competitor,
Jeep, Land Rover has been around for a very long time
and is one of the original sport utility vehicle manufacturers.
It remains a well-respected vehicle among the many new
players in an industry that has experienced an insatiable
appetite for SUVs.
Among the Range Rover Sport Utilitys
benefits are a reputation for a soft ride, and generous
passenger and cargo space. Two full-sized models are
available for the year 2001, Range Rover SE and Range
Rover HSE.
The Land Rover Range Rover SE models
features a 4.0L eight-cylinder engine with center of
vee camshaft, four-speed automatic transmission, sequential
port fuel injection, and 222 horsepower. Fuel economy
is estimated at 12/15 (city/hwy). Drive type is four-wheel
full-time, brakes are four-wheel disc, and the vehicle
is equipped with mud and snow SBR tires.
Amenities and comforts on the Range
Rover SE include leather-wrapped steering wheel and
shifter, cruise control, dual zone climate control for
heating and air conditioning, interior air filter, wood
trim and leather upholstery, and heated ten-way power
front bucket seats with memory feature. The rear seat
folds conveniently, there are cup holders, map pockets,
and storage console, and a remote keyless entry system.
Other standards listed are power windows, power door
locks, dual power mirrors that are heated, power sunroof,
and heated windshield and rear window. As if all of
this was not enough, we continue with a high-quality
six-speaker AM/FM stereo with CD player, a cargo cover,
front and rear fog lights, automatic load leveling suspension,
and alloy wheels. A computer message center, universal
garage door opener and other standard bonuses complete
this amazing package. Both models have a seating capacity
of five passengers and loads of cargo volume.
Safety features are also highly
thorough on the Range Rover SE Sport Utility, and cover
such items as ABS brakes, traction control, and as mentioned
above, fog lights in the front and back of the vehicle.
Other standards include driver side air bag, passenger
side air bag, side impact air bags, and both front and
rear head restraints. Child safety locks are installed
on every vehicle.
