Under the hood
of every Suzuki Vitara Sprot Utility model hums a four-cylinder
engine, with a standard five-speed manual transmission (automatic
transmission is available as an option). The two-door models
have a SOHC and two-wheel rear drive, while the four-door
models feature a DOHC with 127 horsepower. The 4WD models
also take it up a notch with the addition of four-wheel on-demand
drive to contend with even the toughest road and weather conditions.
Safety standards
are thorough, with a driver depowered air bag, passenger depowered
air bag, and both front and rear head restraints in the two-door
vehicles. The four-door models are equipped with a driver
side air bag, passenger side air bag, as well as the front
and rear head restraints and the inclusion of child safety
locks
.
The Suzuki Vitara Sport Utility offers a variety of standard,
optional, and dealer-installed luxuries. Each model is equipped
with a convenient folding rear seat to accommodate extra luggage
