The trendy VW Golf continues to attract faithful followers with its new 2001 line up, which includes five models: Golf GL 2-Door Hatchback, Golf GL TDI 2-Door Hatchback, Golf GLS 4-Door Hatchback, Golf GLS TDI 4-Door Hatchback, and Golf GLS 1.8T 4-Door Hatchback. Each vehicle has a seating capacity of five passengers, and has great headroom.

Under the hood, the VW Golf has a four-cylinder engine and either a SOHC or DOHC and a range of 90-150 horsepower depending on model. Fuel ranges from gas to turbo gas and turbo diesel. Standard transmission is five-speed manual, and drive type is two-wheel front.
