2002 Audi A4 2.8 Avant:

Overflowing with an astounding array of luxuries coupled with impressive performance and safety features, the all-new 2002 Audi A4 2.8 Avant Sedan is an absolute pleasure to drive and be driven in. Its ride is as sophisticated as the smooth lines of its smart design, and has a plush interior with loads of room for five passengers.

Among the comforts and conveniences of the Audi A4 2.8 Avant Sedan are power windows, power door locks, heated dual power outside mirrors, and steering wheel-mounted cruise control. The rear seat handily splits 60/40 and folds down to fit more of your gear.

Drivers and passengers alike will appreciate the automatic climate control and AM/FM stereo with CD player and eight-speaker sound system. A theft deterrent system guards your vehicle and its contents when you’re not around, and a keyless entry system makes for a quick and easy entrance.

Some of the nifty bonuses of the Audi A4 2.8 Avant Sedan include a retractable luggage cover, a tool kit, and expandable ski bag. Other features listed are ten-way adjustable power driver and front passenger seats, and your choice of cloth or perforated leatherette upholstery. Soft leather seating is available as an option.

A Cold Weather Package features extras like heated front seats and heated driver door locks, while the Premium Package adds a Homelink transmitter, sunroof, and auto-dimming mirrors inside and out. The A4 Sport package upgrades performance with a sport-tuned suspension and 16-inch alloy sport wheel and performance SBR tires.

Performance specifications uncover a 30-valve, DOHC, 2.8-litre six-cylinder engine that whips out 190 horsepower and 207 lbs-ft of torque for an exciting highway drive. Back inside the cabin, hardly a sound is heard or a vibration felt even when the engine is gunned.

The Audi A4 2.8 Avant Sedan features permanent all-wheel drive with electronic differential locks for a proud performance in adverse conditions like mud, snow, and challenging roads. It is equipped with sixteen-inch cast alloy wheels and all-season SBR tires.

Standard transmission is five-speed manual, with five-speed automatic transmission offered to you as an option. The fuel economy rating for the manual model is 18/24 mpg (city/hwy), while the automatic checks in at 17/24 mpg (city/hwy).

Finishing off with safety, the Audi A4 2.8 Avant Sedan is equipped with such standards as ABS brakes, child safety seat tethers and anchors, and child safety locks in the rear. Other basic safety measures listed are side head protection air bags, front fog lights, driver and passenger depowered air bags, and front chest air bags. There are three-point seatbelts and head restraints at every seating position.
