With racy good looks and performance to match, the
new 2002 Audi TT Roadster is an absolute joy to drive
and to be driven in. Hugging corners like Linus to his
blue blanket, its finely tuned suspension provides an
exciting yet comfortable ride. And of course, true to
Audi tradition it is packed with luxuries. Two models
are offered - the Audi TT Roadster 180 hp Model and
the Audi TT Roadster 225 hp Model.
However, we begin with a look at the Audi TT Roadster’s
safety standards first, which include features such
as a driver depowered air bag, passenger depowered air
bag, side head protection air bags, and side impact
air bags. Both front seats are equipped with fixed head
restraints.
Other key safety measures listed are ABS brakes, traction
control, three-point seatbelts, roll bars, and a handy
first aid kit and tool kit. Front fog lights, heated
windshield washer nozzles, and high-pressure retractable
headlight washers all contribute to optimum visibility
in foul weather.
Back on the subject of performance, the Audi TT Roadster
180 hp Model is fitted with sixteen-inch five-spoke
alloy wheels and performance tires, and the standard
transmission is five-speed manual. The fuel economy
rating registers at approximately 22/30 mpg (city/hwy).
As per its title, this model hits 180 horsepower with
a turbo-charged, DOHC, 30-valve, four-cylinder engine

with an exquisite suspension handles with civilized
precision.
The Audi TT Roadster has an abundance of comforts and
conveniences, including a retractable top with heated
power glass window, an AM/FM stereo with Cassette player

and heated dual power outside mirrors. The windshield

of torque. The standard transmission is six-speed manual,
and it comes with quattro four-wheel full-time drive.
