2002 BMW 740iL Overview
The elegant yet understated
new 2002 BMW 740iL Sedan is a pleasant blend of world-class
luxury, performance, and superior engineering. Combined
with intelligent design, a great character, and flawless
safety specifications, this spacious five-passenger,
four-door sedan is superb choice for an upscale sedan.
The BMW 740i Sedan is
offered in a standard package and also in a Cold Weather
Package, Premium Package, and Sport Package. Each adds
something unique to upgrade the base model.
With leading-edge design
and engineering, the BMW 740iL Sedan handles sharply
and efficiently with a light alloy 4.4-litre, 32-valve
eight-cylinder engine, four overhead camshafts, and
variable valve timing.
With all of these qualifications,
it reaches a quiet yet powerful 282 horsepower. Standard
transmission is five-speed automatic with adaptive transmission
control. It is rated a low-emission vehicle.
In the luxury department,
the BMW 740iL Sedan features cruise control, automatic
climate control with programmable ventilation system
and left/right controls, and a handy keyless entry system.
Heated dual power mirrors, power door locks, and power
windows add to the list of bonuses.
The premium anti-theft
audio system features an AM/FM stereo with CD player
and fourteen speakers. The six-disc CD player is mounted
in the trunk.
