2002 BMW M Coupe Overview
The unique new 2002 BMW M Coupe certainly has one of
the more original exterior designs amongst coupes on
the market today. An exquisite interior and sporty handling
on the road match the attention to exterior styling.
Making the entire package even more attractive, BMW
makes safety and quality of build a high priority in
all of its vehicles.
Starting off with safety first, each 2002 BMW M Coupe
is equipped with limited slip differential, tire pressure
monitoring system, and highly-tuned ABS brakes. The
overall design channels the energy of an impact away
from the interior.
The BMW standards continue with stabilizer bars, driver
depowered air bag, side impact air bags, and a passenger
depowered air bag. A crash sensor flips on the hazard
lights and unlocks each door in the event of an impact.
Finally, a theft deterrent system prevents the ignition
from being started without your key, and there is a
tool kit in the trunk.
In the luxury category, the BMW interior overflows
with items such as an anti-theft AM/FM stereo with cassette
player and nine speakers. A CD player is an optional
item, as is a power tilting glass moonroof.
Fine leather seating, heated power front seats, and
leather sport M3 steering wheel and detailing surround
you in stylish comfort. For those of you in colder geographical
areas, the outside mirrors, power door locks, and windshield
washer jets are all heated to prevent freezing.
Some of the aesthetic features on the BMW M include
a front spoiler, wraparound skirts, and ground effects.
Other comforts and conveniences are listed as a keyless
entry system, air conditioning, power windows, and cruise
control for easy highway drives.
Under the hood, the BMW M Coupe is equipped with a
3.2L DOHC 24-valve six-cylinder engine and six electronically
controlled individual throttles. Each BMW M Coupe has
a road-hungry 315 horsepower, five-speed manual transmission,
seventeen-inch alloy wheels and performance tires.
Further specifications include variable valve timing,
distibutorless electronic ignition, and cylinder-specific
knock control. The sport-tuned suspension lends itself
perfectly to the BMW M Coupes precision performance
and handling.
