2002 Buick Century:

With a smooth ride, soft suspension, and graceful lines, the new 2002 Buick Century offers two models, Buick Century 4-Door Sedan Custom and Buick Century 4-Door Sedan Limited. Each vehicle features a seating capacity of six passengers, with well-appointed luxuries and a solid range of performance and safety features.

Among its many benefits, the Buick Century Sedan Custom has body-colored side moldings, rear theatre seating with a cloth bench seat, and folding power heated mirrors. The side glass is Soft-ray tinted, along with a solar tinted windshield and rear window to reduce stress on your eyes, increase visibility, and keep a bit of the sun’s heat off you while driving. The vehicle is also equipped with two-speed windshield wipers with variable delay.

Inside are a handy tire inflation monitor, power trunk release, remote keyless entry system, theft deterrent system, and power windows, and power door locks. Climate controls include dual zone manual air conditioning, air filtration system, and rear heat ducts to keep your passengers’ toes toasty warm! For better visibility, there are front and side window defroster outlets. Everyone will enjoy the AM/FM stereo with CD player with its six-speaker sound system and acoustical insulation package. The glove box locks, there are front and rear door map pockets, reading lights and illuminated entry with theatre dimming.

The Buick Century Custom’s engine is a six-cylinder 3.1L, with 175 horsepower and four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive. Performance features include front wheel drive, starter grind protection, and all-season SBR tires. The brakes are power front disc/rear drum, while the steering is power rack and pinion. Its quiet ride is quickly noted, especially when driving over bumpy patches in the road. The fuel economy rating for this and the next model up is 20/30 (city/hwy).

Safety standards include ABS brakes and traction control, items you’ll appreciate when you need them the most. Other safety measures listed are a driver side airbag, passenger side air bag, dual note horn, and child safety locks. Inside the trunk is a release handle to prevent anyone from becoming trapped.

Moving along to the Buick Century 4-Door Sedan Limited, we find a leather-wrapped steering wheel, cruise control, OnStar communication system, and an AM/FM stereo with CD player with steering wheel radio controls. A handy trunk convenience net has been added, and the reclining split bench seat has been upgraded to leather. The driver’s seat is six-way power adjustable.

In addition to all the other performance and luxury features that are found in the base model and mirrored in the Limited, the Buick Century Sedan Limited also adds to the package a driver seat side impact air bag.
