2002 Buick Park Avenue:

The elegant new 2002 Buick Park Avenue deserves mention not only for its styling, spaciousness and luxuries, but also for power and acceleration. Two beautiful models are offered this year, the Buick Park Avenue 4-Door Sedan and the Buick Park Avenue 4-Door Sedan Ultra, each providing intelligent options to suit your needs and a convenient seating capacity of six passengers.

The Buick Park Avenue 4-Door Sedan opens with dual folding power mirrors, accent stripes on the body, and two-speed windshield wipers with variable delay. On the inside, one finds a split bench seat upholstered in leather, dual 10-way power front seats, and rear storage armrest with cup holders.

A keyless remote is included with perimeter lighting, and in the trunk you’ll find a convenience net. Drivers will enjoy cruise control, a theft deterrent system, power windows, power door locks, and air conditioning. The AM/FM stereo with CD player features a 6-speaker sound system, and the steering wheel has radio controls so you don’t have to take your eyes off the road. The Park Avenue has been equipped with delayed entry/exit lighting with theatre dimming.

The engine is a 3.8L six-cylinder machine with 205 horsepower, partnering with a four-speed automatic transmission and front wheel drive. Each vehicle is equipped with all-season SBR tires, power rack & pinion steering, power 4-wheel disc brakes, and ABS brakes for extra control. Fuel economy is rated at 19/30 (city/hwy).

In addition to the ABS brakes, safety standards range from driver side air bag to passenger side air bag, side impact air bags, dual note horn, and front and rear center lap belts.

The 2002 Buick Park Avenue 4-Door Sedan Ultra takes the attractive base package and adds to it heated dual folding power mirrors, an auto-dimming driver-side mirror, and rain-sensing variable delay windshield wipers.

The leather split bench seat is heated for comfort during cold spells and has four-way lumbar adjustment. Along with air conditioning, passengers will appreciate the AM/FM stereo with CD player and nine-speaker sound system. Each vehicle is equipped with an OnStar communication system, and universal remote transmitter.

Under the hood is a 3.8L six-cylinder supercharged engine. A subsequent increase to 240 horsepower is the happy result. Steering is magnetic variable-effort power rack and pinion, while transmission is four-speed automatic with overdrive. Fuel consumption checks in at 18/28 (city/hwy)

Safety features include traction control, Stabilitrak stability management system, and a triple-note horn.
