2002 Buick Rendezvous reviews and buying
guide.
2002 Buick Rendezvous
Buick adds its own competitive line up to the trend
towards SUV's with the new 2002 Buick Rendezvous CX
and 2002 Buick Rendezvous CXL. Both four-door vehicles
have a convenient seating capacity of seven passengers,
making them excellent for larger families or those requiring
extra space for colleagues or extra luggage.
Under the hood, the Buick Rendezvous sports a six-cylinder
engine with center of vee camshaft and 185 horsepower.
Standard transmission is four-speed automatic. The Rendezvous
CX has two-wheel front drive, while the Rendezvous CXL
boasts four-wheel full-time drive for negotiating tougher
terrain and weather conditions.
Safety features for both models include ABS brakes
and front fog lights for increased peace of mind in
adverse conditions. Driver depowered air bag, passenger
depowered air bag, side impact air bags, and front and
rear head restraints are all part of the package. A
rear wiper keeps the back window clear for better visibility.
For the prevention of mishaps with youngsters traveling
with you, each vehicle is equipped with child safety
locks.
Luxuries abound in the Buick Rendezvous sport utility
vehicles. Standards range from air conditioning to cruise/speed
control, power windows, power door locks, and dual power
mirrors.
For convenience, you will find a keyless entry system
and a folding rear seat to accommodate your luggage
and extra sports or camping equipment. Passengers will
enjoy the AM/FM stereo with CD player, as well as other
amenities that are available as options and packages.
