2002 Dodge Caravan:
Always a steady popular on the market
for many years, Dodge introduces another line up of
Caravan models for the year 2002. With ample seating
for seven passengers and oodles of room for luggage
and other paraphernalia, the 2002 Dodge Caravan is a
perfect choice for people and families on the move.
This year, two models are offered
- the Dodge Caravan SE Passenger Van and the Dodge Caravan
Sport passenger Van - each with a convenient four doors
and rear door for easy loading and unloading of kids,
groceries, and even the family dog.
The front wheel drive Dodge Caravan
SE Passenger Van starts us off with a four-cylinder,
DOHC engine with sequential port fuel injection, 150
horsepower, and 167 lbs-ft of torque.
Standard transmission is three-speed
automatic, and each vehicle is equipped with all-season
SBR tires. The fuel economy rating is estimated at 18/24
(city/hwy)/
Safety standards on the Dodge Caravan
SE Passenger Van include child safety locks in the rear,
a passenger depowered air bag, a driver depowered air
bag, and both front and rear head restraints.
Optional safety measures are listed
as ABS brakes and side impact air bags, and integrated
child seats come as a package.
Dodge has made the economical Caravan
SE as comfortable as possible, with such standards as
air conditioning, a convenient folding rear seat, and
other conveniences scattered throughout. Power door

The Dodge Caravan Sport Passenger

available.
Under the hood, the Caravan Sport
features an upgrade to a six-cylinder engine with center
of vee camshaft, 180 horsepower, and 210 lbs-ft of torque.
Standard transmission is four-speed automatic.
