2002 Dodge Caravan:

Always a steady popular on the market for many years, Dodge introduces another line up of Caravan models for the year 2002. With ample seating for seven passengers and oodles of room for luggage and other paraphernalia, the 2002 Dodge Caravan is a perfect choice for people and families on the move.

This year, two models are offered - the Dodge Caravan SE Passenger Van and the Dodge Caravan Sport passenger Van - each with a convenient four doors and rear door for easy loading and unloading of kids, groceries, and even the family dog.

The front wheel drive Dodge Caravan SE Passenger Van starts us off with a four-cylinder, DOHC engine with sequential port fuel injection, 150 horsepower, and 167 lbs-ft of torque.

Standard transmission is three-speed automatic, and each vehicle is equipped with all-season SBR tires. The fuel economy rating is estimated at 18/24 (city/hwy)/

Safety standards on the Dodge Caravan SE Passenger Van include child safety locks in the rear, a passenger depowered air bag, a driver depowered air bag, and both front and rear head restraints.

Optional safety measures are listed as ABS brakes and side impact air bags, and integrated child seats come as a package.

Dodge has made the economical Caravan SE as comfortable as possible, with such standards as air conditioning, a convenient folding rear seat, and other conveniences scattered throughout. Power door locks, and an AM/FM stereo with CD player are optional, and cruise control dual power outside mirrors, and power windows are all offered as packages.

The Dodge Caravan Sport Passenger Van raises the bar with the addition of cruise control, rear defroster, power door locks, and power windows. A keyless entry system, remote lift gat release, and AM/FM stereo with CD player are just some of the options available.

Under the hood, the Caravan Sport features an upgrade to a six-cylinder engine with center of vee camshaft, 180 horsepower, and 210 lbs-ft of torque. Standard transmission is four-speed automatic.
