2002 Ford F-Series Flareside:
One of the most popular pickup trucks
in the industry is the Ford F-Series pickup Truck, offering
both Styleside and Flareside line ups for 2002. Altogether,
there are ten different models, each with a variety
of options and packages.
Outlined here are the Ford F150
XL Flareside Regular Cab, Flareside XL 4WD Regular Cab,
Flareside XL 4WD SuperCab, Flareside Lariat SuperCab,
and Flareside Lariat 4WD SuperCab.
The Ford F150 XL Flareside Regular
Cab has two doors and a seating capacity of three passengers.
Standard features include air conditioning and a theft
deterrent system. Limited slip differential, sliding
rear window, and an AM/FM stereo with CD player are
optional.
As for performance, the Flareside
XL is equipped with a six-cylinder, SOHC engine with
sequential port fuel injection, 202 horsepower, and
252 lbs-ft of torque. The towing capacity is 11000 lbs.
This rear wheel drive model powers
along on all-season SBR tires, and the standard transmission
is five-speed manual. Automatic transmission is available
as an option. The estimated fuel consumption rating
is 16/20 (city/hwy).
Each Flareside XL Regular Cab is
armed with ABS brakes, a driver depowered air bag, passenger
depowered air bag, and front head restraints. The passenger
air bag is designed with a cut-off switch.

The Ford F150 Flareside XL 4WD Regular
Cab takes the base package and makes the addition of
four-wheel on-demand drive for superior handling and
control in a variety of conditions.

Third in line, the Flareside XL
4WD SuperCab increases the seating capacity to six passengers
so you can transport family and colleagues to and fro.
This model also features the benefits of four-wheel
on-demand drive plus all-terrain radials for top-notch
performance no matter what you throw at it.

Next up, the Ford Flareside Lariat
SuperCab also seats six passengers and makes some pretty
serious improvements under the hood. The engine has
been upgraded to eight cylinders, with a resulting 231
horsepower and 293 lbs-ft of torque.
Cruise control has been added as
a standard, along with power door locks, dual power
mirrors, and power windows. The interior is stylishly
finished with leather seating.

At the highest end of the 2002 model
line up, the Flareside Lariat 4WD SuperCab puts it all
together and once again throws in tough four-wheel on-demand
