2002 Ford Taurus Wagon
Ford is pleased to release its new
2002 Taurus Wagon, an even more practical version of
its popular Taurus sedan. Families and folks with busy
lifestyles love the Taurus Wagon for its sensibility
and comfort, along with its satisfying performance on
the road.
Two models are available this year:
Taurus SE Wagon and Taurus SEL Wagon. Each of these
vehicles has a handy rear door plus four regular doors,
and a highly convenient seating capacity of eight passengers
within a roomy, well-appointed interior.
The Ford Taurus SE Wagon begins
with a fuel economy rating of 19/26 (city/hwy), all-season
SBR tires, and front wheel drive. Standard transmission
is four-speed automatic. Performance specifications
include a six-cylinder engine with center of vee camshaft,
sequential port fuel injection system, 155 horsepower,
and 185 lbs-ft of torque.
The Taurus SE Wagon certainly does
not shy away from increased demands for power and acceleration,
and does not whine and complain about it. In fact, there
is little vibration or excess noise heard while driving
at all.
In the safety department, the Ford
Taurus SE Wagon rings in with standards like ABS brakes,
driver side air bag, passenger side air bag, and child
safety locks. The passenger side air bag is equipped
with a cut-off switch. Side impact air bags and traction
control are both available to you as packages.
As for luxuries and conveniences,
the Ford Taurus SE Wagon is equipped with power windows,
dual power outside mirrors, power door locks, and air
conditioning. Other standards include cruise control,
a keyless entry system, a folding rear seat for increased
cargo space, and a theft deterrent system.
An AM/FM stereo with CD player is
available as an option - a key feature if youre
driving with a family or spend a lot of time on the
road.
Base invoice price: $19,722
Base list price: $21,380
The 2002 Ford Taurus SEL Wagon takes
the base package and adds to it a standard AM/FM stereo
with CD player, and finishes off the interior in the
comfort and classy style of leather seating.
Base invoice price: $20,802
Base list price: $22,580
