2002 Ford Windstar
Functional and filled to the brim
with standards and great options, Ford rolls out its
new 2002 Ford Windstar Passenger Van line up. There
are four models offered - Windstar LX, Windstar SE,
Windstar SEL, and Windstar Limited. Each has four doors,
a fifth rear door, and seating for seven passengers.
The Windstar LX Passenger Van starts
us off with all-season SBR tires, front wheel drive,
and four-speed automatic transmission. It is powered
by a responsive six-cylinder engine with sequential
port fuel injection, center of vee camshaft, 200 horsepower,
and 240 lbs-ft of torque. The fuel economy rating is
estimated at 17/23 (city/hwy).
Safety features include ABS brakes,
driver depowered air bag, passenger depowered air bag,
child safety locks, and front and rear head restraints.
Side impact air bags are optional, and both traction
control and front fog lights are available as packages.
With plenty of comforts and conveniences,
the Windstar LX Passenger Van is sure to please driver
and passengers alike. Standards are listed as power
windows, power door locks, dual power outside mirrors,
a folding rear seat, and a theft deterrent system. Other
amenities include air conditioning and cruise control,
and a keyless entry system is offered as a package.
The Ford Windstar SE Passenger Van
follows with the addition of a convenient keyless entry
system, and a tilt steering wheel.
Next in line, the Windstar SEL Passenger
Van takes the base package and tags on an AM/FM stereo
with CD player for the enjoyment of all passengers,
and finishes off the interior with leather upholstery
and details.
Finishing up the models, the Windstar
Limited Passenger Van is packed with all of the previous
performance, safety, and luxury features, plus side
impact air bags and traction control for ultimate control
and protections in adverse situations.
