2002 GMC Envoy:

The tough new 2002 GMC Envoy Sport Utility is poised to take on the competition with a rough-and-tumble line up of four powerful models - Envoy SLE, Envoy SLE 4WD, Envoy SLT, and Envoy SLT 4WD. Offering terrific performance specifications and a wide range of comforts and conveniences, the Envoy Sport Utility is worth taking a look at.

At the front of the line up, the GMC Envoy SLE Sport Utility is equipped with ABS brakes, side impact air bags, passenger depowered air bag, driver depowered air bag, and both front and rear head restraints.

Other standard safety features include child safety locks and front fog lights. Traction control is available as a package.

Luxuries are generous, and are listed as an AM/FM stereo with CD player, power windows, dual power outside mirrors, power door locks, and air conditioning. Carrying on even further, the GMC Envoy SLE Sport Utility includes a keyless entry system, cruise control, and a folding rear seat for more storage space.

Options include limited slip differential and a moonroof/sunroof. The seating capacity is five passengers, with four-door entry and a convenient rear door.

Taking a look at performance, the GMC Envoy SLE Sport Utility rumbles with a six-cylinder DOHC engine with sequential port fuel injection that cranks out 270 horsepower and 275 lbs-ft of torque.

The fuel economy rating is estimated at 16/20 (city/hwy), and as far as transmission goes, the standard is four-speed automatic. Each vehicle is front wheel drive, and is fitted with all-season SBR tires.

Base invoice price: $26,195
Base list price: $28,945

Next in line, the GMC Envoy SLE 4WD Sport Utility rolls up all of the previous features and upgrades performance with the addition of four-wheel on-demand drive for more rugged territory.

Base invoice price: $28,209
Base list price: $31,170

The GMC Envoy SLT Sport Utility follows, with front wheel drive and the decadent finish of soft leather upholstery and detailing.

Base invoice price: $28,743
Base list price: $31,760

Topping it all off, the GMC Envoy SLT 4WD Sport Utility combines all the previous features, carries over the elegant leather seating of the previous model, and slaps four-wheel-on demand drive back on again for excellent performance and control.

Base invoice price: $30,756
Base list price: $33,985
