2002 Honda CR-V
The new 2002 Honda CR-V
Sport Utility has a sophisticated and classy look and
feel to it compared to many other SUVs. These
traits are reflected in the fine handling, performance,
and luxury amenities of its three models - CR-V LX 2WD
Sport Utility, CR-V LX AWd Sport Utility, and CR-V EX
Sport Utility.
At the head of the line
up, the Honda CR-V LX Sport Utility features such standards
as ABS brakes, driver and front passenger air bags,
child safety seat tether anchors in all rear seating
positions, and three-point seatbelts throughout. There
are four doors and a seating capacity of five passengers
with plenty of elbow and leg room for comfortable travels.
Creature comforts in
the Honda CR-V LX Sport Utility include air conditioning,
AM/FM stereo with cassette player and four speakers,
plenty of cup holders, storage compartments, lights,
storage pockets, and bins around the interior. Other
features include cruise control, power windows, and
a 50/50 split rear bench seat for extra luggage and
gear.
Performance specifications
are listed as a 2.4L DOHC 16-valve four-cylinder engine
with 160 horsepower. On the Honda CR-V LX Sport Utility,
standard transmission is five-speed manual with automatic
available as an option. Control and power are boosted
by RealTime four-wheel drive for negotiating tougher
road and weather conditions.
The Honda CR-V EX takes
all the safety, luxury, and performance of the entry-level
model and piles on an AM/FM stereo with CD player, automatic
transmission with overdrive, and an array of cosmetic
improvements. Also added to the package are color-keyed
power door mirrors, a keyless remote entry system, front
storage box, and rear seat tilt-up feature.
At the top of the Honda
line up is the CR-V Limited Edition Sport Utility, which
crowns the entire deal with an AM/FM CD player and cassette
player, fine leather upholstery, and details such as
a leather-wrapped steering wheel.
