2002 Isuzu Axiom:

Four intriguing 2002 Isuzu Axiom Sport Utility models are offered for the year 2002, each designed to bring extra elements to appeal to your driving and lifestyle demands. The Axiom combines the size and power of a truck or SUV with the feel that one experiences while driving a car. The Isuzu is categorized as a sport utility vehicle, but it really is a crossover that will appeal to a broad spectrum of drivers. The four models are Axiom 2WD Sport Utility, Axiom SX 2WD Sport Utility, Axiom 4WD Sport Utility, and Axiom SX 4WD Sport Utility, all with four-door entry and a seating capacity of five passengers.

From the outside, the Isuzu Axiom 2WD Sport Utility displays a color-keyed front grill, bumper, and hatch along with body-colored power mirrors that are heated to maintain clarity. Looking into the cabin, it has a four-way power driver’s seat, the upholstery is velour cloth, and the rear seat splits and folds down. Luxuries and conveniences include cruise control, power windows and door locks, keyless entry system, and theft alarm. Benefits such as air conditioning and rear seat heat ducts ensure the comfort of all passengers. Each vehicle is equipped with an AM/FM stereo with CD player and eight speakers for entertainment. Little bonuses like a retractable cargo cover and a roomy interior make a big difference.

Safety is an important priority as well, with the Isuzu Axiom 2WD including such standards as ABS brakes, dual note trumpet-type horn, driver side air bag, and passenger side air bag. Child safety locks have been installed in every vehicle, along with 3-point seatbelts and front and rear head restraints.

Engine specifications include a 3.5L six-cylinder engine with DOHC and 230 horsepower. The transmission is four-speed automatic with overdrive, tires are mud and snow SBR, and the vehicle is rear wheel drive. Steering is rack and pinion, while the braking system is power front vented disc and rear drum brakes. The fuel economy rating is estimated at 16/20 (city/hwy).

Taking off where the previous model left off, the Isuzu Axiom XS 2WD Sport Utility adds a power tilt and slide moonroof for a fresh breeze and cheerful ambience. Fog lamps have also been installed for optimum visibility in poor weather conditions. Inside, they have upgraded the front passenger seat with four-way power controls and the seating is heated with fine leather upholstery and leather door inserts.

The Isuzu Axiom 4WD Sport Utility takes it even further, increasing performance to include limited slip differential, four-wheel on-demand/shift-on-the-fly drive, and power four-wheel vented disc brakes. This vehicle is definitely a strong off-road contender in the SUV category.

Finishing off the line up, the Isuzu Axiom XS 4WD drive adapts all the performance, luxury, and safety features of the previous vehicles. The moonroof and mud flaps make their appearance once again, making for happy passengers and a cleaner vehicle after powering down that dirt road on the way to the cottage.
