2002 Mazda Pickup B-Series Pickup Overview
The new 2002 Mazda B-Series Pickup Truck is available
in no less than nine models to ensure that you get the
vehicle that suits your needs best for work, family,
and play. Whether you just need a great basic truck
or want something with high performance and luxuries
to match, there is a 2002 Mazda B-Series Pickup for
you.
In the mix for 2002 are the Mazda B2300 Pickup Truck,
Mazda B3000 Pickup Truck, and Mazda B4000 Pickup Truck.
Each of these tough and durable trucks is offered in
three different trim levels - Base, Dual Sport, and
4x4. The Base and Dual Sport models come in a Regular
Cab configuration, while the Dual Sport and versatile
4x4 models come in either a Cab Plus or Cab Plus 4 configuration.
At the start of the line up, the rear-wheel drive 2002
Mazda B2300 Base Pickup Truck packs a 2.3-litre, four-cylinder
engine that produces 135 horsepower and 153 lb-ft of
torque. The standard transmission is five-speed manual,
but a five-speed automatic transmission is also available
to you as an option.
The 2002 Mazda B2300 Base Pickup Truck features a Regular
Cab with a six-foot box with quick release tailgate,
four black cargo box tie-down hooks, fifteen-inch steel
wheels, black front and rear mud flaps, and all-season
tires. The interior sports an AM/FM stereo with clock,
black vinyl floor covering, a storage tray behind the
front seat, and a vinyl 60/40 split bench seat.
Each 2002 Mazda B2300 Base Pickup Truck is equipped
with a driver air bag and a passenger air bag with deactivation
feature, plus four-wheel anti-lock brakes.
The 2002 Mazda B3000 Pickup Truck is offered in the
Dual Sport Regular Cab package, Dual Sport Cab Plus,
4x4 Cab Plus, or 4x4 Cab Plus 4. Regular Cab models
feature a 3.0-litre, six-cylinder engine with 147 horsepower
and 179 lb-ft of torque, while the Cab Plus 4 version
belts out 207 horsepower and 238 lb-ft of torque.
Dual Sport (also available in the B4000) takes the
base package and adds a color-keyed front bumper cap,
color-keyed grille, black contoured front and rear mud
flaps, and color-keyed wheel lip moldings. As well,
the Dual Sport includes fifteen-inch alloy tear drop
wheels with bright center ornament hub, upgraded interior
panels, an AM/FM stereo with CD player and 4 speakers,
a rear jump seat, and air conditioning.
In the 4x4 department, the 2002 Mazda B3000 Pickup
Truck and Mazda B4000 Pickup Truck highlight additions
like a chrome front and rear step bumper, chrome grille,
two front tow hooks, black or platinum wheel lip moldings,
and sixteen-inch 3-spoke alloy wheels with bright center
ornament.
Within the interior of the 2002 Mazda B3000 and B4000
4x4 Pickup Trucks are color-keyed panels with padded
armrests, AM/FM stereo with CD player and MP3 capability,
color-keyed carpet, and a cloth 60/40 split folding
bench seat. Cruise control, power windows, power door
locks, dual power outside mirrors, leather-wrapped steering
wheel, and tilt steering wheel are each available in
packages.
In the performance arena, the 2002 Mazda B3000 and
B4000 4x4 Cab Plus models are built with a 3.0-litre,
six-cylinder engine that produces 147 horsepower and
179 lb-ft of torque. Cab Plus 4 models sport an impressive
4.0-litre, six-cylinder engine that cranks out 207 horsepower
and 238 lb-ft of torque.
