2002 Oldsmobile Alero:

Making a definitive break from stuffy tradition, the Alero Coupe provides an escape from the view we usually have about Oldsmobile. The look is sleek, fast, and aerodynamic with features that match the impressive appearance. Three different models are available, so you can take your pick of the vehicle that best suits your needs and budget.

In the model line up for 2002 are the two-door Alero GX Coupe, Alero GL Coupe, and Alero GLS Coupe, each of them with a seating capacity of five passengers in a comfortable interior setting.

The Alero GX Coupe starts off with a wide range of amenities from an AM/FM stereo with CD player to air conditioning, a keyless entry system, and cruise control. Other standards include power door locks and a handy folding rear seat for extra gear.

A theft deterrent system lets you breathe easy when you’re not around. Among the available items obtained through various packages is a moonroof/sunroof for character and ambience.

The Oldsmobile Alero GX Coupe comes armed with safety features like traction control, ABS brakes, and front fog light for good measure. Inside the cabin, passengers are protected by a driver depowered air bag and a passenger depowered air bag.

Finally, under the hood is a four-cylinder, DOHC engine with sequential port fuel injection system. The resulting output is 140 horsepower and 150 lbs-ft of torque. The Alero GX Coupe is equipped with front wheel drive, four-speed automatic transmission, and all-season SBR tires on the road.

Base invoice price: $16,334

Following in the path of the previous model, the Oldsmobile Alero GL Coupe makes the addition of front fog lights, a convenient keyless entry system, power windows, and dual power outside mirrors. A moonroof/sunroof is available as a pleasant option.

Base invoice price: $18,007
Base list price: $19,680

Finishing up at the high end of the line up, the Oldmobile Alero GLS Coupe takes things up a notch in the engine department with six cylinders, center of vee camshaft, 170 horsepower, and 200 lbs-ft of torque for excellent performance and acceleration when you need it.

The Alero GLS Coupe also features touring radial tires, and an interior that is finished with upscale leather upholstery and details for a classy yet sport look.

Base invoice price: $20,195
Base list price: $22,315
