2002 Pontiac Bonneville
The 2002 Pontiac Bonneville
remains the sporty Option to traditional luxury, offering
driving excitement to upper middle income drivers with
a youthful outlook on life. The 2002 Pontiac Bonneville
is the roomy sport sedan that provides a bold, exciting
alternative to the boredom that often accompanies traditional
luxury cars.
A refreshing new face
For the 2002 model year,
Pontiac Bonneville SE models have been refreshed with
updated front and rear fascias. Revised exterior badging
and new 17-inch wheels (standard aluminum and Optional
chrome) also lend a new look to SLE and SSEi models,
which also receive new dual oval exhaust tips. SE and
SLE models get new standard interior treatments, done
in Peak Expression cloth/fabric. Three new exterior
colors are also added to the mix: Polo Green, Dark Blue
Metallic and Granite Metallic.
Pontiac Bonneville is
available in three models SE, SLE and SSEi
each with a high level of standard equipment that emphasize
comfort, convenience and security.
More standard features
than ever
The Bonneville SE is
a true sport sedan that seats five or six comfortably
in its roomy interior. Standard features on the SE now
include a CD player, 16-inch aluminum wheels, a six-way
power drivers seat, remote keyless entry, and
anti-theft alarm system, as well as independent front
and rear touring suspension with electronic level control,
tire pressure monitor, daytime running lamps with twilight
sentinel, PassKey III security system, power windows
with express-down driver and passenger, power outside
rearview mirrors, rear-deck spoiler and trunk pass-through.
Bonneville SLE places
an even stronger emphasis on style, performance and
convenience. Among its standard features are new-for-02
17-inch five-spoke aluminum wheels, dual-play audio,
dual-zone climate control, independent front and rear
performance suspension with electronic level control,
a 3.05 performance axle ratio, a rear deck spoiler,
and a Driver
Information Center.
Bonneville SSEi takes
content to the highest level with the StabiliTrak system,
Head-Up Display, magnetic variable-effort steering,
12-way articulating driver and passenger leather bucket
seats with memory, trunk accessory kit, and more. For
more information about StabiliTrak, see the Corporate
press kits "Applied Technology" section.
Supercharged V6 power
Bonneville SE and SLE
are powered by the acclaimed 3800 Series II V6 that
generates 205 horsepower and 230 lb-ft of torque, mated
to a four-speed electronic automatic transmission. The
stiff, sporty Bonneville SSEis standard engine
adds a supercharger and heavy-duty transaxle with a
lower axle ratio for higher power 240 horsepower
and 280 lb-ft of torque.
