The brand new four-door 2002 Saturn
L100 Sedan has sophisticated lines and plenty of features
that will attract your attention. Among the most notable
are the intelligent safety measures that have been implemented
to protect its five passengers and prevent accidents
from occurring.
Safety features include side head
protection air bags, child safety locks in the rear,
front and rear crumple zones, and side impact protection.
The list continues with a driver depowered air bag,
passenger depowered air bag, and ABS brakes for maximum
control while stopping suddenly, especially on slippery
surfaces.
There are three-point seatbelts
at all seating positions, anchors and tethers for child
safety seats, front and rear head restraints, and optional
ABS brakes with traction control for the prevention
of accidents.
In the area of performance, the
front-wheel drive Saturn L100 Sedan is equipped with
a 2.2-litre, sixteen-valve, dual overhead camshaft,
four-cylinder engine with sequential port fuel injection
that produces 135 horsepower and 142 lbs-ft of torque.
Tires are all-season SBR.
Standard transmission is five-speed
manual with optional four-speed automatic available,
and the four-wheel independent suspension makes for
a comfortable and efficient ride. The fuel economy rating
is estimated at 25/33 (city/hwy).
Comforts and conveniences include
air conditioning, dual power outside mirrors, power
steering, remote trunk release, and a handy 60/40 split
folding rear seat for surplus cargo. The air conditioner
is fitted with a dust and pollen filter.
Throughout the interior there are
cupholders, storage console, and a variety of practical
and functional features. An AM/FM stereo with CD player
is offered as an option to make your driving experience
more pleasurable.
To keep the exterior of the Saturn
L100 Sedan like new, the body is made out of dent- and
corrosion-resistant door and front fender polymer bodyside
panels. A theft deterrent system and battery run-down
protection are also part of the package.
