2003 BMW 330 reviews and buying guide.

2003 BMW 330 resources:

2003 BMW 330

In the similar range to the 330 series but one level up, the 330 line from BMW has more power, luxury and performance capability. The wagon is excluded from this list and that leaves the sedan, coupe and convertible models to lead the charge.

The 2003 BMW 330 line includes the BMW 330i, the BMW 330xi all-wheel drive (AWD) model, the BMW 330Ci coupe and the BMW 330Ci convertible, where the luxury fittings are accentuated as fits the sporty convertible quality.

All these models share the same V6 engine but they range from a medium trim level to a very high standard of luxury and comfort that involves Harmon Kardon audio and power seats with leather upholstery (on the 330Ci convertible). Regardless of the level you are looking for, BMW maintains a reputation for reliability, quality and safety that has been and continues to be very successful in the global auto industry.

Under the Hood

The 330 line has a 3.0-liter V6 dohc engine with plenty of power and lots of it available. It produces 225 hp at 5900 rpm and 214 lb-ft of torque at 3500. It can be equipped with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed automatic transmission and it is capable of 21/30 mpg (city/hwy) with the manual.

These models enjoy a lot of sophisticated motor-sports researched BMW performance technology that includes traction control, an antiskid system, 4-wheel antilock disc brake with brake assist and, on the convertible, a rollover protection system. AWD models also have a hill descent control system that enhances handling on steep hills or in adverse driving conditions.

Safety innovations also include airbag technology in place in full measure with dual front, front side, head protection front side and optional rear torso side airbags.

Standard Features, Options Packages and Style

Standard fittings are already generous and in place on all BMW 300 series models with air conditioning, vinyl upholstery on front bucket and rear bench seats, automatic climate control, cruise control, power steering, door locks and windows, heated power mirrors and remote keyless entry. Additional values are a tilt and telescoping leather-wrapped steering wheel with controls for the AM/FM/CD player, tachometer and more. However, the 330 versions add to the value with 6-way power driver seats and memory settings among other items.

BMW has one of the most comprehensive sets of optional packages available in cars today. Premium, Sport and Cold Weather Packages are specially available and tailored to the requirements of each model. Safety, powertrain and accessory options are also available.
