2003 Chrysler Sebring Coupe
The 2003 Chrysler Sebring Coupe has been completely
redesigned. What emerges from the puff of smoke is a
midsize car with modern styling both inside and out
and a confident strut that comes as a result of its
new look. And as always, the Sebring Coupe delivers
true performance under its hood.
The two-door Sebring Coupe can seat five passengers
inside its new interior. Joining the Coupe in the Sebring
lineup are a Convertible model and a four-door Sedan.
All three share the same basic engineering features
that have been tried and tested to perfection, while
each model offers a unique driving experience based
on its specific configuration. The Sebring Coupe is
available in two trim levels: LX and LXi.
Under the Hood
The LX model comes with a very capable 2.4-liter, 4-cylinder
engine that offers 147 horsepower. 5-speed manual transmission
and 4-speed automatic are both available, though with
automatic transmission the horsepower rating drops to
142. Sebring Coupe LXi models feature a more powerful
3.0-liter V6 engine, able to dish out a total of 200
horsepower.
A front strut tower brace, front and rear sway bars
and the structural rigidity of Sebring's body contribute
to the vehicle's responsive handling characteristics.
For safety, the 2003 Chrysler Sebring coupe provides
driver and front passenger airbags, side airbags and
a rear seat center shoulder seat belt, as well as available
side curtain airbags.
Standard Features, Options Packages and Style
In order to make driving more enjoyable, engineers
revisited the construction of the Sebring Coupe to reduce
unnecessary wind and engine noise. A single-piece bodyside
aperture and increased use of sound-absorbing materials
is the result, making the 2003 Sebring Coupe's ride
even quieter.
The interior of the Sebring Coupe provides a new instrument
panel that features new gauges with black backgrounds
and chrome surrounds. LX models come with air conditioning,
cruise control, height-adjustable driver seat, remote
keyless entry, an AM/FM radio with in-dash 4-disc CD
changer and map lights. Uplevel LXi models add a leather-wrapped
steering wheel with radio controls, an upgraded Infinity
sound system, an outside-temperature indicator and a
compass. As usual, the options are enticing and plentiful.
Combining a bit of everything, the 2003 Chrysler Sebring
Coupe knows how to satisfy.
