2003 Dodge Intrepid resources:

2003 Dodge Intrepid

The 2003 Dodge Intrepid is shaped like a bullet, and it has the type of speed to garner the same comparison. Clearly one of the most unique automobiles on the road in terms of its design, the Intrepid packs power under its hood and refinement inside its cabin. This combination of features, coupled with an eye-catching price tag, has merited the "Best Buy" label from Consumer Guide.

The Dodge Intrepid has four doors and has enough real room for six passengers. There are three trims available: SE, ES and SXT. The new SXT has the most power in its class, providing owners with an exhilarating driving experience, as well as a fine array of interior comforts.

Under the Hood

Each Intrepid model receives a separate engine. The entry-level SE has a 2.7-liter V6 with 200 horsepower at 5800 rpm and 190 lb-ft of torque at 4850 rpm. Midlevel ES models come with a 3.5-liter V6 with 234 horsepower at 6000 rpm and 241 lb-ft of torque at 4400 rpm. At the top of the performance line, the powerful SXT is equipped with an upgraded 3.5-liter V6 that delivers a leading 250 horsepower at 6400 rpm and 250 lb-ft of torque at 3900 rpm. All engines use a smooth-operating 4-speed automatic transmission system.
Built for high adventure, the SXT also features 16-inch chrome wheels, P225/60R16 all-season touring tires and independent front and rear touring suspension. All Intrepids handle safety with dual front airbags, 4-wheel disc brakes and an emergency inside trunk release.

Standard Features, Options Packages and Style

On the outside, the sporty SXT provides a decklid spoiler and a bright exhaust tip. Inside, it has a premium AM/FM stereo/CD radio with six speakers and 120-watt amplifier, leather-trimmed steering wheel and shift knob, 60/40 split folding rear seat, eight-way power driver seat, keyless entry and power windows, mirrors and door locks.
The value-priced SE's available features include alloy wheels, bodyside moldings, a cargo net, eight-way power driver seat, rear-folding seat with armrest and cup holders, AM/FM/CD Radio, remote keyless entry and speed control. For even more features, the top-of-the-line Intrepid ES offers automatic temperature control, fog lamps, leather seats, illuminated visor mirrors, trip computer, auto day/night mirrors and a security alarm system.

There are a slew of options that figure into the mix, giving owners the ability to touch up on all aspects of their vehicles. All of this plus adrenaline-pumping performance with the 2003 Dodge Intrepid.
