2003 Saturn VUE
The 2003 Saturn VUE is Saturn's compact sport-utility
vehicle, and it offers the typical benefits of the manufacturer's
approach to auto making. The design is clean and uncluttered,
the safety features advanced and the performance quietly
efficient. Introduced in 2002, the VUE has plenty of
cargo and passenger room, while everyone concerned will
benefit from the smooth ride that results from the SUV's
sturdy construction.
The 2003 Saturn VUE has four doors and seats five passengers
with ease. It is offered with two engines, a 4-cylinder
and a 6-cylinder. In addition, models can be configured
with either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.
Under the Hood
The standard 4-cylinder engine is a 2.2-liter Ecotec
capable of 143 horsepower. The other engine, optional
for those people who want a little more bite, is a 3.0-liter
V6 that pumps out 181 horsepower. Four-wheel independent
suspension is a key to VUE's controlled ride and responsive
handling on a wide range of surfaces. The VUE also features
an advanced electric power steering system for precise
steering at lower speeds and a confident feel on the
highway.
Saturn has an impressive reputation for going the extra
distance when it comes to equipping their vehicles with
advanced safety features. The VUE offers Saturn's spaceframe
construction, unique in the SUV realm, which combines
optimum strength with minimum weight for exceptional
sturdiness. Dual front airbags are standard, while a
head-curtain side-impact airbag system is optional.
Standard Features, Options Packages and Style
The VUE can sit five and still offer an additional
30 cubic feet of storage space. The rear seat can be
folded flat to create even more room when carrying large
objects. VUE models with the standard engine provide
air conditioning, interior air filter, power steering,
tilt steering wheel, cloth upholstery, front bucket
seats, height-adjustable driver seat, fold-flat passenger
seat, AM/FM radio and more. Models with the V6 engine
add cruise control, power mirrors, windows and door
locks, remote keyless entry, AM/FM/CD player and other
standards.
The options list lets customers upgrade every facet
of the VUEs. The OnStar System is a convenient addition,
while a leather package decks out the interior.
Extremely safe and reliable, the VUE offers the performance
and spaciousness of an SUV with the style of a sedan.
