What 2023 Buick Enclave Trim Should You Buy? What is the Difference Between Trims?

The 2023 Buick Enclave isn't just any large SUV, it's a legitimate luxury vehicle. The Enclave has an elegant exterior design and an equally attractive interior layout. The Enclave provides three rows for the driver and all occupants to get comfortable in. There's a lot of legroom and headroom here in all three rows. There's also a cavernous cargo area with 97.4 cubic-feet of space to store your stuff in.

The latest Enclave will be sold in three different models or trim levels. Each model takes what the previous trim offered and then adds even more features. The uptick in price is pretty reasonable at each level. The price tiers are set up perfectly, always enticing you to go up just one more level. Buick also offers a special Sport Touring Package that can be added on to all three trims. We will cover this in more detail below before analyzing the actual trims.

With the 2023 Enclave, you can find the perfect balance of power and features. Whether it's front-wheel or all-wheel drive that fits your lifestyle best, each model offers a reliable performance standard with plenty of customization options available in exterior design elements, interior amenities, tech perks and safety technology - giving drivers complete control to create their ideal vehicle.

There are a lot of options when selecting a new Buick Enclave. We will take a look at all three models of the 2023 Buick Enclave in more detail. Each trim level will be compared to showcase their unique features. This will hopefully aid potential buyers in making the right choice for their specific needs.

The Sport Touring Package

The Sport Touring Package grants the Enclave an impressive visual upgrade, highlighted by a handsome blacked-out mesh grille that features a unique blend of body and Dark Night colored trim. With this package added to any SUV model, you’ll be rightfully proud to drive up front with its distinct ST badge on display.

Choosing the Sport Touring Package also upgrades the wheels for the 2023 Buick Enclave. Sport Touring, or ST models, get a set of 20-inch aluminum alloys. These wheels are made of machine-faced aluminum and have painted pockets with a Satin-Graphite color scheme. ST models also have better sound proofing with features like acoustic laminated glass, triple door seals and Active Noise Cancellation.

Adding this package to the Enclave also comes with upgrades for the interior. It immediately tacks on a premium sound system by Bose. It also comes with an ingenious Smart Sliding Seat for the second row. This technology was designed to make it easier to access the third row. Getting in an out is never a tight squeeze thanks to some forethought by the Buick engineers. This package even adds Enhanced Buick Driver Confidence, a whole suite full of driver-assist tech and safety features.

Compare the 2023 Buick Enclave Essence vs Premium. What Is the Difference?

The all-new 2023 Enclave features a sophisticated 3.6 liter V6 engine; this Spark Ignition, Direct Injection powerhouse boasts 310 horsepower and 266 pound feet of torque for an impressive performance on the highway combined with city mileage of around 21 miles per gallon - thanks in part to its Start/Stop system that ensures optimal fuel efficiency no matter where your travels take you!

For drivers looking for a smooth and effortless experience, the Enclave offers its exclusive 9-speed automatic transmission. With state-of-the art electronic control systems featuring overdrive capability and Driver Shift Control, you can take command of your shift duties - feeling like you're truly in charge behind the wheel. Plus, with Buick's standard feature set including Keyless Entry & Power Steering as well their cutting edge Driver Mode Selector – Carrying all these features together provides an exciting road trip every time.

You can rest assured that the Enclave provides a safe driving experience with GM's StabiliTrak system. This advanced technology helps give enhanced control during unexpected maneuvers while its specialized sensors automatically adjust braking and engine-torque power when needed to ensure you stay on your desired route - even if adverse road conditions arise! The Traction Control feature is especially helpful since it will apply corrective measures in case of wheel slipping, providing extra security for drivers who may be traversing challenging terrain.

Buick’s Premium Ride Suspension is included on all trim levels, delivering a superior driving experience across various terrains. Step up to the Essence or Premium trims and you'll also get Automatic Emergency Braking – an intuitive system that harnesses advanced camera technology and driver-assist features together for added protection when travelling below 50 mph.

It's easy to see that the Essence and Premium trim levels have plenty of similarities; for starters, both trims are equipped with front intermittent wipers, a rear wiper/washer combination and 18-inch wheels. On top of this, their LED headlights incorporate an automatic on/off feature plus daytime running lamps - which is sure to come in handy no matter what your adventure.

The exterior mirrors of the Essence are heated, while those on the Premium take convenience to a whole new level with power-operated and auto-dimming features. Thanks to Buick's programmable handsfree liftgate that projects their iconic logo when opened in darkness, accessing cargo storage is easier than ever before. For additional space needs, roof racks offer yet another option for both trims making them an ideal choice for storing larger items safely atop your vehicle!

When it comes to the interior of these two trim levels, a range of differences become evident. The entry level Essence dually equips occupants with a 6-speaker audio system and an AM/FM stereo set up. On the other hand, Premium models come with unparalleled sound power; they boast 10 high fidelity speakers expertly tuned by Bose as well as integrated navigation systems for navigating even the most convoluted streetscapes - all highly visible on driver information centers furnished in 8" full color screens!

With the Enclave, comfort is king; both trims provide 2-way adjustable headrests in each seat and a power-adjustable driver's seat with 8 directions. The Premium model adds heat to the second row seats plus front seating heating for all models. Safety features include carpeted floor mats, cruise control and seven airbags - giving you peace of mind no matter what trim you choose.

Moving on to the safety features, the trim levels become very similar again. In addition to the aforementioned airbags, the Enclave comes with GM's Teen Driver system. This technology allows the owner to monitor the driving habits of a younger, secondary driver. It also allows them to set a number of perimeters and attach these settings to a key FOB. Once the teen driver enters the vehicle with the FOB, the settings will be engaged automatically.

Buick throws in an emergency kit for every trim level. This kit includes items such as jumper cables, first-aid items and ponchos for weather protection. A full first-aid kit is available as an option for both trims. Buick also provides three years of OnStar services for new owners. The Essence and Premium models get Forward Collision Alert and a Following Distance Indicator.

These two trims come with Front Pedestrian Braking and the LATCH system for securing child safety seats. There's a Lane-Change Alert feature that can also monitor potential blind-spots. Lane-Keep Assist and Lane-Departure Warning complete a trio of features designed to keep you safely in your own lane. Both of these trims get Rear Park Assist and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert to keep you mindful of what's behind the vehicle. Premium models add on Rear Pedestrian Alert as well.

One unique feature that's shared by all three trims is the Safety Alert Seat. This high-tech feature uses complex sensors and cameras to predict where a crash may come from. The seat then provides feedback in the form of vibrations. The vibrations correspond to the direction of the potential collision. The Essence trim offers a Rear-View Camera while the Premium gets an HD Surround-Vision Camera. Both models come with a Tire-Pressure Monitoring system.

Compare the 2023 Buick Enclave Premium vs Avenir. What Is the Difference?

The top trim level of the 2023 Buick Enclave is called the Avenir. Avenir models have everything that the Premium model offers, except where an upgrade has been made. Buick then adds on a few unique features for this trim. Once again, we see the same engine, transmission and mechanical features as the previous two trims. One slight exception is that the Avenir gets Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking.

For the exterior features, the Avenir gets a set of 20-inch aluminum wheels. These come in a striking Pearl-Nickel finish. The Avenir adds on a moonroof with a front power-sliding feature and a rear fixed skylight. There are now special puddle lamps in each door. These project Buick's tri-shield logo onto the ground. This helps drivers to see better at night when entering or exiting the vehicle. They also add a lot of style and character to this version of the Enclave.

On the inside, most of the Premium's features are just carried over to the Avenir. The top trim level gets some fancy embroidering on the front, carpeted floor mats. Both trims get a massage feature and 4-way lumbar support for the front two seats. The Avenir upgrades the standard cruise control to adaptive cruise control. The Avenir also gets all of the same safety features and driver-assist tech as the Premium trim level.

Final Thoughts

With the 2023 Buick Enclave, you won't be disappointed in any of its three trim levels. This large SUV will dazzle you with responsive engine performance and a comfortable ride that feels refined as well. Plus, sitting inside is even more enjoyable thanks to comfy seats that come equipped with massage functions for those higher-level trims! Even better – this practical vehicle offers plenty of roominess for passengers and cargo alike - making it a truly versatile option perfect for life's adventures.

For savvy customers, the mid-level trim is an ideal choice. With its upgraded infotainment system and superior audio capability plus integrated navigation it’s a great value for your money! Top that off with cutting edge driver assist technology and you have one packed vehicle at surprisingly reasonable cost compared to upgrading all the way to Avenir - which provides significantly less features without much savings.

The Avenir presents an exciting range of options to personalize your driving experience – and the beauty is, you don't have to break the bank. From adding a moon roof for a relatively painless price increase or going all-in with Sport Touring Package on any trim - there's something for everyone here! For most buyers, however; we'd recommend checking out what Premium has in store.
