Final Thoughts
The Impala is a good family car with a bevy of add-ons at the upper trim levels. The LT and Premier offer some impressive options for buyers looking for a quality vehicle. The optional V6 is available on the lower two trim levels and standard on the Premier, but most buyers will want to upgrade regardless of which trim level they choose.
The Impala LT is the clear front runner of the three trims. It is only $1,500 more than the LS and offers many more standard and available features. The LT price is still lower than many base prices of competitors in this category and offers great standard features.
The LT can be upgraded to include most of the best features available in an Impala, and the packages are separated into many options so buyers don't have to pay for things they don't want. The LS simply doesn't have enough standard or available features to make it a better choice than the LT. The Premier does offer all of the best amenities for buyers of the Impala, but buyers in the large car category are probably better off saving the money and stepping down to a well outfitted LT.
