Compare the 1LS vs 1LT Trims. What Is the Difference?

The base trim level of the 2022 Chevrolet Camaro is called the 1LS. The next trim level up is called the 1LT. These are both budget-friendly models that come equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine. This engine makes a respectable 275 horsepower with 295 pound-feet of torque. These trims both come stock with a manual 6-speed transmission.

The 1LS and 1LT can also be had with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The automatic transmission system comes equipped with a set of paddle shifters. Both of these models share most of the same mechanical features. There's 4-wheel disc anti-lock brakes, dual-outlet exhaust tips and a limited-slip rear differential.

After the 1LT, the next trim level up is called the 2LT. This model once again comes with the same 2.0-liter turbo engine and the 6-speed manual transmission. Mechanically, these two trim levels are identical. They share all of the same features and options in this category. The fuel-economy numbers, horsepower and handling is all identical here.

For the exterior, there's still not much of a difference here. On the inside, the 2LT gets dual-zone climate control and some carbon fiber trim for the instrument panel. The 2LT gets several options for color schemes and materials for the interior. White, Black and Adrenaline Red interior motifs are all available.

Both trim levels come with the exact same infotainment system and audio setup. The safety features and driver-assist technology are the same as well. One nice extra for the 2LT is the addition of heated and ventilated seats up front. These two trims don't offer too much of a different, but the 2LT does have a few extras for only a small increase in cost.

The 3LT trim level again sticks with the base-level engine. You get the same suspension system and transmission as the previous two trims. The brakes and all of the mechanical features are nearly identical. The 3LT does come with a Lighting and Convenience Package. The driver's side mirror now gets an auto-dimming feature and heating.

The outside mirrors are now also endowed with a memory function that can remember preferred settings for up to two drivers, making it effortless to set them into the right position. On the inside, the 3LT is furnished with an 8 inch diagonal HD color touchscreen for driver information which includes driver personalization data, vehicle information and driver alerts.

Moving on to the interior of the 3LT, keen eyes will instantly spot that it has some unique aluminum accents on the door trim and shifter knob. But perhaps one of the best upgrades for this trim level is the inclusion of a premium Bose sound system. The sound system consists of nine speakers in the coupe model and seven in convertible style models. You can choose to have a navigation system integrated as an option in the 3LT for some extra cost.

The first major different for the LT1 is the powerful V8 engine. A major upgrade in the LT1 is a 6.2 liter V8 engine under its hood. The power from this engine dominates the road - generating an impressive 455 horsepower and 455 pound-feet torque. With this type of engine, you can expect acceleration and top speed to be seriously improved here. To help manage this new added power, the LT1 gets some performance anti-lock brakes by Brembo.

With its aggressive 455-horsepower V8, the LT1 is a beast of a car. So, Chevrolet has thoughtfully equipped it with an external oil cooler that helps keep engine oil temperatures in line during trips for a worry-free performance.
Its suspension also gets promoted to a premium setup for even smoother steering and handling than before.  A set of dominating 20-inch aluminum wheels on the model enhances its strength and appearance. These are paired with a set of all-season blackwall run-flat tires.

The 1LT trim level also comes with various upgrades performance wise. However, some interior features are removed.The infotainment system reverts back to the standard model of the base trim level whilst the Bose audio system disappears. It also loses the driver-assist features found on the 3LT.

The 1SS trim level of the 2022 Chevrolet Camaro comes with the same 6.2-liter V8 engine as the LT1 trim level. The 6-speed manual transmission is standard here once again. All of the cooling systems get upgraded for the 1SS. A rear differential cooler is added on as well.

This trim level gets special SS Brembo brakes up front and in the rear for better performance than ever before. Both performance-wise and on exterior looks, the 2022 Chevrolet Camaro 2SS is almost identical to the 1SS, so there isn't much to compare. They're all mostly the same as those found on the 1SS. The ZL1 is a true muscle car in every sense of that term. This model of the 2022 Chevrolet Camaro comes with a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 DI engine. This powerful motor can output 650 horsepower with 650 pound-feet of torque. The ZL1 can get you from 0 to 60 miles-per-hour in just 3.5 seconds.

Being built for speed, this model of the 2022 Camaro again comes with the Brembo brakes up front and in the rear for superior stopping power. There's a dual-mode exhaust system for the ZL1. It also features an Electronic Limited-Slip Differential. Launch Control modulates the torque to ensure powerful acceleration from a dead stop.
